I also have to demonstrate my eclectic taste in music. I’ll start off with a few bands that everyone loves, like Kings Of Leon, Death Cab For Cutie, or The Fleet Foxes. Then, I’ll list off some semi-obscure indie acts to show that I’m hip and with it. Have you heard Ra Ra Riot’s newest release? Mindblowing. Do you love Patrick Watson as much as I do? Great. Next, I’ll toss in a few really intense bands (Death From Above 1979, Blood On The Wall, Nine Inch Nails) to make sure you don’t think I’m a pansy and subtly give the impression that I’d be a crazy lay. I’ll close it off by just making up a band to make myself seem extra cool. How about…Hedgehog Soliloquy, a Williamsburg funk/punk/a capella quartet whose album can only be purchased on vinyl from a single Falafel vendor in Brooklyn.
